'Crushed Pearl' is particularly pretty and would be most flattering on fairer skin tones and is very similar to Anastasia's Illuminator in 'Starlight'. And talking of bonuses, these highlighters can also be worn as eyeshadow and blush! The shade 'Mimosa' is a cross between a bronzer and a highlighter and is similar to BECCA's cult Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Opal'. I also find the formulation of these highlighters doesn't accentuate my pores which is always a bonus. Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Highlighter is a shimmering, ultra-smooth cream highlighter for instant light and luminosity in just one swipe. The highlighters are soft, apply beautifully, long lasting and easy to blend. Applied with a dry brush they leave a beautiful natural glow but they can layered, or applied with a dampened brush, for a more intense, metallic sheen. And as the formula is firm rather than fragile, I wouldn't hesitate to travel with them.įor those of you who are familiar with the Anastasia Beverly Hills formulations, the Glow Kits are softer than their Illuminators and more comparable to their Pro Series Contour Refills. The pans are bigger than their Pro Series Contour Refills and are magnetised so can be easily placed into a Z palette. The book style compact (a.k.a highlighter heaven) was surprisingly large and heavier than expected. Medium-Tan Works wonderfully on my lightly tanned skin. The darkest color Havana can also be used as a bronzer. Great for gals with fair to medium skin tones, the palette houses four shimmery cool toned highlighters all of equal size, that aren't too silvery or harsh. I love a bronze highlight, but against all odds I was drawn to the 'Gleam' kit. And whilst I'll be surprised if you don't already want to get your hands on them, I'm going to tell you why they're soon to become a cult favourite. The two palettes feature a quad of shimmery highlighters, 'Glow' features deeper golden hues and 'Gleam' features pearly tones. Renowned for their contour palettes the Anastasia Beverly Hills new Glow Kits have been created to help deliver a glowing complexion for every skin tone. Okay, so whilst I justify my purchase, as arguably I didn't need yet another highlighter (let alone four!), these kits are so freaking pretty. The UKs ultimate beauty destination with 600+ skincare, makeup, fragrance & haircare brands. The two palettes 'Glow' and 'Gleam' are the perfect way to pep up your complexion and to get fresh skin for Spring. However, I do like that I have a product that allows me to add a bit of luminescence to my blush and bronzer if I really want to achieve a glowing look. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits have arrived *insert trumpet fanfare*. I feel as though I should have purchased the other kit, “That Glow”, because the shades are much warmer and would be more suitable to my skin tone. I think people commonly mistake this kit as a quad of highlighters, but for me this kit is two highlighters, a bronzer and a blush topper. I like that the kit offers a variety of shades that can be used to highlight different skin tones, however not all of them work as a highlighter for me. I find that these ones are sort of messy and that they accentuate my pores like many other highlighters. The formula is not favourite as I prefer highlighters than are more buttery. It is a very cool toned colour, and being that I have an olive skin tone, it is not very compatible with my skin. Crushed Pearl: An icy silver that almost has a taupe undertone. It is probably my favourite of all of the shades. Starburst: A shimmery peachy pink shade, that could be used as a highlighter but also as a blush topper. I will definitely used this colour in the summer when I have a tan. However, I prefer to mix this in with my bronzer as it is too dark for my skin tone. This could be used as a highlight for deeper, warmer skin tones. Mimosa: A bronze shade, with a champagne iridescence. I prefer to use this one as a blush topper, rather than highlighting with it. Stick Highlighter is buildable and easy to blend. The weightless formula melts effortlessly into to a second-skin seamless feel for the perfect glow every time. Hard Candy: A rosy reddish pink shade that appears more pink when applied. Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Highlighter is a shimmering, ultra-smooth cream highlighter for instant light and luminosity in just one swipe. I have recently picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in “Gleam” and have had the chance to try out each of the four shades. Highlighting is seemingly a more recent phenomenon in the make up world thereby, creating a great deal of hype over illuminating skin products.
